Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing. 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 They gave the lie to the Truth when it came to them. So they are now in a state of great perplexity. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? 6 and We have spread out the earth, and have set upon it firm mountains, and have caused it to bring out plants of all beauteous kinds? 7 as a lesson and a reminder to every penitent worshiper. 8 And We send down from the skies water rich in blessings, and cause thereby gardens to grow, and fields of grain, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered spathes; 10 As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection. 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
