Therefor warn (men, O Muhammad). By the grace of Allah thou art neither soothsayer nor madman. 29 Or they allege, “He is a poet – we await a calamity of the times to befall him.” 30 say [to them], "Wait then: I too am waiting along with you!" -- 31 Is it their minds that bid them [to take] this [attitude] - or are they [simply] people filled with overweening arrogance? 32 Or do they say: He has forged it. Nay! they do not believe. 33 Let them produce a discourse like it if they are true in their claim. 34 Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]? 35 Or have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact they are certain of nothing. 36 Or do they have the treasures of your Lord, or are they the authority? 37 Or do they have a ladder (climbing which) they can hear (the secrets of heaven)? Let one who has heard then bring a clear proof. 38 Or has He only daughters and ye have sons? 39 Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?- 40 Or that the Ghaib (unseen) is with them, and they write it down? 41 Or are they planning a conspiracy? So the conspiracy will befall only upon the disbelievers. 42 Or do they have a god apart from God? He is too exalted for what they associate with Him! 43 If they should see a part of the heavens falling down, they would say, "A mass of clouds," 44 So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible - 45 and when their evil plans will be of no benefit to them nor will they be helped. 46 And surely those who are unjust shall have a punishment besides that (in the world), but most of them do not know. 47 And be patient upon your Lord’s command, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), for you are indeed in Our sight; and proclaim the Purity of your Lord while praising Him, whenever you stand. 48 and glorify Him after the setting of the stars. 49
