Do you not see that We have set the devils against the infidels to rouse and instigate them? 83 Therefore, do not hasten (things) against them, for We count out to them a number, 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 And shall drive the culprits to Hell as a herd. 86 None will have power to intercede for them except one who obtains a promise from Ar-Rahman. 87 And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son." 88 Indeed, [by this assertion] you have brought forth something monstrous, 89 The heavens are wellnigh rent of it and the earth split asunder, and the mountains wellnigh fall down crashing for 90 For they have attributed a son to Ar-Rahman, 91 When it is not meet for (the Majesty of) the Beneficent that He should choose a son. 92 All that is in the heavens and the earth will return to the Beneficent God as His submissive servants. 93 He knows their number and has counted each one of them. 94 Every one of them will come before Him all alone on the Day of Resurrection. 95 VERILY, those who attain to faith and do righteous deeds will the Most Gracious endow with love: 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 And many a generation We did destroy before them; do you see any one of them or hear their faintest sound? 98
