Q (Qaaf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By Qaf and the glorious Quran, (you are the Messenger of God). 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." 3 We know what the earth consumes of them, for We have the Book that preserves everything. 4 Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 All these are to serve as eye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth). 8 And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests; 9 And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;- 10 as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the apostles, so My threat came to pass. 14 So did We tire by creating the first time? Rather they doubt being created again. 15
