Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
