Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
