Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
