Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 and so am I: 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
