And when your Lord called out to Musa, saying: Go to the unjust people, 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said: "My Lord! I fear that they will brand me a liar. 12 And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron. 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they shall slay me. 14 Said He, 'No indeed; but go, both of you, with Our signs, and We assuredly shall be with you, listening. 15 "So go forth, both of you, to Pharaoh, and say: 'We have been sent by the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds; 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 (Pharaoh) said (unto Moses): Did we not rear thee among us as a child? And thou didst dwell many years of thy life among us, 18 And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful." 19 (Moses) replied: "I did do that and I was in the wrong, 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me (of the number) of those sent (by Him). 21 And that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the Children of Isra'il? 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 'He' (Moses) replied: 'is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you believe' 24 Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 Pharaoh said, "This messenger who has been sent to you is surely possessed!" 27 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" 28 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "If you choose an ilah (god) other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." 29 He said, 'What, even though I brought thee something so manifest?' 30 Pharaoh said, "Show it then, if you are telling the truth!" 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. 33
