Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
