The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 By the Promised Day! 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
