Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The craving for ever-greater worldly gains and to excel others in that regard keeps you occupied 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8
