Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To clear or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
