And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness. 21 (He will be told), "You were completely heedless of this day. We have removed the veil from your eyes and your vision will now be sharp and strong". 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 "Cast each stubborn unbeliever into Hell," (they will be told), 24 "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ And his comrade shall say, 'Our Lord, I made him not insolent, but he was in far error.' 27 God will say, "Do not quarrel in My presence. I gave you the warning beforehand 28 No word is to be exchanged in My presence. I am not unjust to My servants". 29
