Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 A warning unto humankind 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 About the criminals, 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
