The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Then where are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
