Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble scribes, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
