Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Nay! you shall soon know, 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Yes certainly, if you had believed with certainty, you would not have craved for wealth. 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
