۞ Also, We revealed to Moses, saying: 'Go with My worshipers by night, for you will be followed' 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 And indeed, they are enraging us, 55 “And indeed we are an alert army.” 56 So We expelled them from gardens, springs, 57 and their treasures and excellent dwellings. 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 So the Firaun’s people followed them at sunrise. 60 And when the two hosts came in view of each other, Moses' companions said: 'We have been reached' 61 Moses replied: "By no means. My Lord is with me. He will show me the way." 62 We sent a revelation to Moses saying, "Strike the sea with your staff." The sea was rent asunder and each side stood high up like a huge mountain. 63 And We advanced thereto the pursuers. 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 And We drowned the others. 66 In this there was certainly evidence (of the Truth), but most of them did not have any faith. 67 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 68
