۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see? 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 If he is among the near 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 Then for him is entertainment with boiling water. 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
