By the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 a warning to humans, 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
