Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 separating one from another, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known term? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
