Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.
