▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,- 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 It has been revealed by the Lord of all the worlds. 80 So is this the matter regarding which you laze? 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 Then why, if you are not indebted (to Us for life), 86 That you bring it back, if you are truthful? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 For him shall be comfort, and fragrance and a Garden of Delight. 89 If he is a Companion of the Right 90 Then there is safety and peace (from the Punishment of Allah) for (you as you are from) those on the Right Hand. 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
