What aileth those who disbelieve, that they keep staring toward thee (O Muhammad), open-eyed, 36 [coming upon thee] from the right and from the left, in crowds? 37 Does every man among them aspire to be admitted into the Garden of serenity? 38 Not at all, for We have created them of what they know. 39 Now I do call to witness the Lord of all points in the East and the West that We can certainly- 40 to substitute a better than they; We shall not be outstripped. 41 So let them chat and play until they meet their Day which they are promised, 42 The day when they come forth from the graves in haste, as racing to a goal, 43 With lowered eyes, disgrace overcoming them; this is the day, which they had been promised. 44
