The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the morning hours 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
