Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 O my Lord, do not put me among the harmdoing people' 94 Indeed, We are able to show you that which We promised them. 95 [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is better: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us]. 96 And say thou: my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee against the whisperings of the satans. 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 When death approaches one of the unbelievers, he says, "Lord, send me back again 99 so that I may do good works in the world I have left behind." Never! It is indeed but a meaningless word that he utters. A barrier shall stand behind such people till the Day they are raised up again. 100 So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. 101 Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: 102 But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 "Were not My Verses (this Quran) recited to you, and then you used to deny them?" 105 They will say, “Our Lord! Our ill-fate overcame us, and we were the astray people.” 106 O our Sustainer! Cause us to come out of this [suffering] - and then, if ever We revert [to sinning,] may we truly be [deemed] evildoers!" 107 Allah will say: "Away from Me; stay where you are and do not address Me. 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them. 110 Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." 111 He will say: how long tarried ye on the earth in number of year? 112 They will say: We tarried a day or part of a day, but ask those who keep account. 113 He shall say, 'You have tarried but a little, did you know. 114 What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?' 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King! there is no god but he, Lord of the Throne honoured. 116 And whosoever calleth, along with Allah, unto god, of whom he hath no warranty, then his reckoning is only with his Lord; verily thrive will not the infidels. 117 Say, "Lord, forgive us and have mercy. You are the best of those who show mercy." 118
