The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 He created man 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. 19 between them a barrier they do not overpass. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
