Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 You shall know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
