In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Yaa-Seen (Alphabets of Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 I call to witness the Qur'an, custodian of all laws, -- 2 you are indeed one of the messengers 3 On a straight path. 4 This is a revelation sent down from the Majestic and All-merciful 5 so that you may warn a people who are unaware because their fathers were not warned. 6 Indeed the Word (of punishment) has proved true against most of them, so they will not believe. 7 We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that their heads are forced up (and they cannot see). 8 and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have enshrouded them in veils so that they cannot see: 9 Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not, it is alike for them, for they believe not. 10 Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous. 11 Surely it is We who bring the dead to life and write down what they have forwarded and what they have left behind; everything We have numbered in a clear register. 12

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
