Hizb 46
< random >
Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That they would be helped, 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
