By the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 a warning to humans, 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 Till death overtook us. 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
