The News (Al-Naba')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Concerning what are they disputing? 1 About the great tidings! 2 Regarding which they hold different views. 3 Indeed, they shall know! 4 again, no indeed; soon will they come to know. 5 Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse, 6 The mountains tent-pins? 7 And We created you in pairs, 8 And have appointed your sleep for repose, 9 and made the night [its] cloak 10 And made the day for seeking livelihood. 11 And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments, 12 And have kept a very bright lamp in it. 13 and sent down abundant water from the clouds 14 In order to produce grain and plants with it. 15 And gardens of luxurious growth? 16 Verily, the Day of Decision is a fixed time, 17 On that day the trumpet will be sounded and you will come (to Us) in huge groups. 18 and when the skies are opened and become [as wide-flung] gates; 19 and the mountains move, and vaporize. 20 Indeed hell is lying in ambush. 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 They will abide therein for ages. 23 tasting therein neither coolness nor any drink 24 Except scalding water and [foul] purulence - 25 A fitting recompense (for them). 26 Behold, they were not expecting to be called to account, 27 But they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, and that which Our Prophet (Peace be upon him) brought) completely. 28 and everything We have numbered in a Book. 29 "So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment." 30
