Al-Baqarah 5 of 40

Children of Israel, remember the favours I have bestowed upon you, and fulfil the covenant that you made with Me. I shall fulfil the covenant I made with you. Fear Me alone. 40 And believe in what I have sent down confirming what is with you, and do not be the first to disbelieve it. Do not sell My verses for a little price and fear Me. 41 Do not mix truth with falsehood and do not deliberately hide the truth 42 And establish prayer, and give the poor-rate, and bow down with those who bow down. 43 ۞ Will you enjoin good deeds on the others and forget your own selves? You also read the Scriptures, why do you then not understand? 44 And seek help in patience and As-Salat (the prayer) and truly it is extremely heavy and hard except for Al-Khashi'un [i.e. the true believers in Allah - those who obey Allah with full submission, fear much from His Punishment, and believe in His Promise (Paradise, etc.) and in His Warnings (Hell, etc.)]. 45 Who bear in mind the certainty that they are to meet their Lord, and that they are to return to Him. 46
