And when the messengers came unto the family of Lot, 61 he said to them: 'I do not know you' 62 They answered: "Nay, but we have come unto thee with [the announcement of] something that they [who are given to evil] have always been wont to call in question, 63 And bring thee the Truth, and lo! we are truth-tellers. 64 Therefore go forth with your followers in a part of the night and yourself follow their rear, and let not any one of you turn round, and go forth whither you are commanded. 65 And [through Our messengers] We revealed unto him this decree: "The last remnant of those [sinners] shall be wiped out in the morn." 66 Then came the people of the city, exulting at the news. 67 He said: Surely these are my guests, therefore do not disgrace me, 68 and fear God, and do not degrade me.' 69 They (people of the city) said: "Did we not forbid you to entertain (or protect) any of the 'Alamin (people, foreigners, strangers, etc. from us)?" 70 He said: these are my daughters, if act ye must. 71 By thy life, in their intoxication they were wandering bewildered. 72 Then the mighty Blast caught them at sunrise, 73 Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed. 74 Surely in this are signs for those who examine. 75 And verily they are on a pathway lasting. 76 Most surely there is a sign in this for the believers. 77 And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers. 78 and We took vengeance on them. The two of them were upon a roadway manifest. 79
