۞ O men! It is you who stand in need of God -- God is self-sufficient, and praiseworthy -- 15 If He please, He will take you off and bring a new generation. 16 This would not cost God dear at all. 17 AND NO BEARER of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; and if one weighed down by his load calls upon [another] to help him carry it, nothing thereof may be carried [by that other,] even if it be one's near of kin. Hence, thou canst [truly] warn only those who stand in awe of their Sustainer although He is beyond the reach of their perception, and are constant in prayer, and [know that] whoever grows in purity, attains to purity but for the good of his own self, and [that] with God is all journeys' end. 18 Not alike are the blind and the seeing. 19 Nor the darkness and the light, 20 Nor is the shadow equal with the sun's full heat; 21 nor are the living and the dead equal. Allah makes to hear whosoever He will, but you cannot make those who are in their graves hear. 22 Thou art but a warner. 23 Lo! We have sent thee with the Truth, a bearer of glad tidings and a warner; and there is not a nation but a warner hath passed among them. 24 If they call you a liar, so had those before them called their apostles liars, who had come to them with clear proofs, scriptures and the splendent Book. 25 In the end did I punish those who rejected Faith: and how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)! 26
