The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 and say: "This is clearly nothing but [a mortal's] spellbinding eloquence! 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
