The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
