Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
