Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

May both the hands of Abu Lahab be destroyed – and they are destroyed! 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! 5

Almighty Allah's Truth.
