Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the midday brightness 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
