Blessed is He who has established constellations in the sky and made therein a lamp and a shining moon. 61 It is He who has made the night and day follow each other for those whom He desires to remember or He desires to be thankful. 62 The worshipers of the Merciful are those who walk humbly on the earth, and when the ignorant address them say: 'Peace' 63 And who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing, 64 Who say: "O our Lord, avert from us the torment of Hell: Its punishment is surely continuous. 65 Lo! it is wretched as abode and station; 66 who, when they expend, are neither prodigal nor parsimonious, but between that is a just stand; 67 those who never invoke any other deity besides God, nor take a life which God has made sacred, except with the right to do so, nor commit adultery. Anyone who does that shall face punishment: 68 [but] shall have his suffering doubled on Resurrection Day: for on that [Day] he shall abide in ignominy. 69 Except him who repents and believes and does a good deed; so these are they of whom Allah changes the evil deeds to good ones; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 70 And whoever repents and does good, he surely turns to Allah a (goodly) turning. 71 And those who witness not falsehood, and when they pass by some vanity pass by with dignity. 72 And those who, when they are reminded of the signs of their Lord, do not fall deaf and blind upon them. 73 They pray, "Lord, let our spouses and children be the delight of our eyes and ourselves examples for the pious ones." 74 They will be rewarded the highest position in heaven, the recompense of their patience, and they will be welcomed with honour and greetings of peace. 75 and wherein they will live for ever: what an excellent abode and what an excellent resting place! 76 Say thou: my Lord careth not for you were it not for your prayer; whereas ye have even belied, so presently this denial shall come as the cleaving punishment. 77
