1/4 Hizb 35

And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and on whom We had bestowed the good things of this life, said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: he eats of that of which ye eat, and drinks of what ye drink. 33 "If you were to obey a human being like yourselves, then verily! You indeed would be losers. 34 Does he give you a promise that when you are dead and turned to dust and bones, you will be raised to life again? 35 ۞ "Far, very far is that which you are promised. 36 This is our only life. We live and will die but we will never be brought back to life again. 37 He is only a man who has invented a lie about God, and we are not going to believe him!" 38 He said: My Lord! Help me because they deny me. 39 God replied, "After a very short time they will certainly regret for their deeds." 40 So they were rightly seized by a mighty blast; and We turned them into mouldy rubbish: A good riddance of the wicked people! 41 Then after them, We created other generations. 42 No community can anticipate their term, nor can they lay behind. 43 Then sent We our messengers in succession: every time there came to a people their messenger, they accused him of falsehood: so We made them follow each other (in punishment): We made them as a tale (that is told): So away with a people that will not believe! 44 Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our tokens and a clear warrant 45 To Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs, but they behaved insolently and they were people self-exalting (by disobeying their Lord, and exalting themselves over and above the Messenger of Allah). 46 They therefore said, “Shall we believe in two humans like ourselves, whereas their nation is servile to us?” 47 Then they belied the twain; so they became of those who were destroyed. 48 And We gave Moses the Book, that haply they would be guided; 49 And [as We exalted Moses, so, too,] We made the son of Mary and his mother a symbol [of Our grace,] and provided for both an abode in a lofty place of lasting restfulness and unsullied springs. 50

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
