Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
