HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
