Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul. 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
