Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 storming tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known term? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
