Nay, by the Moon 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 a warning to humans, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 who will be in Paradise 40 concerning the sinners, 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 we fed not the needy, 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until death approached us". 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
