He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 What made you think that he will not grow in virtue, 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 Unto him thou payest regard. 6 Whereas it is not on thee that he is not cleansed. 7 But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly, 8 And with fear (in his heart), 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 So whosoever willeth - let him be admonished therewlth. 12 On honoured leaves 13 most exalted and purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Noble and pious. 16 Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah; 17 From what has God created him? 18 Out of a sperm-drop did He create him and then determined a measure for him, 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 then, when He wills, He raises him. 22 Certainly, he has not duly fulfilled His commands. 23 Then let man look at his food, 24 We poured water, pouring it in great abundance, 25 and split the earth, splitting, 26 and thereupon We cause grain to grow out of it, 27 and grape vines and vegetables, 28 and olives, and palms, 29 and gardens dense with foliage, 30 And fruits and fodder,- 31 (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry shall be sounded 33 On the day when a man fleeth from his brother 34 And from his mother and father, 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him. 37 Some faces on that day will be radiant, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). 39 And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 these, these will be the ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity! 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
