Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Illustrious scribes 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
